Alexa has over 6 years of experience working with young children. She is passionate about early childhood education and truly loves children. Alexa enjoys making sure each child feels special, and heard. She promotes exploration, and stresses the importance of dramatic play in young children. Alexa believes as children play, they learn to solve problems, to get along with others and to develop the fine and gross motor skills needed to grow and learn. Alexa prides herself on creating a warm and nurturing environment where all children can feel comfortable to play, learn, and grow together!
Hello Parents!
My name is Alexa Gong and I graduated from California State University, Fresno with a Bachelors of Science degree in Child Development! I love working with young children and I am so excited for a fun-filled year! My favorite part of early childhood development is seeing how far the children come from the moment they begin our amazing enrichment program, to the moment they graduate and move on to kindergarten! I love to see each child foster independence, and come to school ready to learn and experience something new each and every day! I know, and believe that the first 5 years of a child’s life are the most important for growth and development. I strive to make each child feel special and secure in our learning environment to promote confident young achievers, not just during their preschool years, but BEYOND!
When creating a preschool program of course I wanted to provide the best and most well rounded curriculum, and equipment, but most of all I knew I wanted a small, private, rich learning environment that would provide children the opportunity to really be known on a personal level. I believe you can only really understand a child and know their learning style to make those developmental connections in a small environment! I am so excited to provide all of this at Copper Academy Private Preschool!

Sandy has over 15 years in experience in teaching preschoolers, directing a school, and operating her own successful school. She is nurturing and hands-on. If the children are outside going down the slide, Sandy will be next in line. Sandy is passionate about kindergarten readiness and ensuring her children have the tools they need to excel socially, emotionally, and academically in Kindergarten. Sandy is constantly keeping in contact with local Kindergarten teachers to ensure the readiness level she prepares her students for is substantial. She prides herself on lifting each child’s self esteem by providing constant positive feedback, and reassurance. Sandy ends each school day making sure each child knows they are amazing! Sandy is passionate that children truly are our future.

I have many years of experience operating my own preschool, and have perfected a well-rounded preschool program that has been proven to be effective! I love each child as if they were my own, and I am ready to embark on a learning adventure with your child that will establish a solid foundation for years to come! Children are our future, and I believe they should be provided with a self pacing environment to stimulate, encourage, and inspire them. I strive to ensure learning is fun, and that the whole child is nurtured-emotionally, socially, physically, and cognitively.
